At DH Sharpening, precision isn’t rushed — it’s refined. Every knife, scissor, and blade is sharpened using a methodical process designed to restore peak performance while protecting the life of your tool.

1. Individual Assessment

Every blade is inspected before sharpening. We consider steel type, blade style, current condition, edge damage, and intended use. A chef’s knife is not sharpened the same way as a hunting blade — and it shouldn’t be.

2. Precision Edge Restoration

We use professional sharpening equipment and controlled techniques to establish the proper edge angle. Our goal is a clean, consistent bevel with minimal metal removal — restoring sharpness without shortening blade life.

3. Refinement & Honing

Once the primary edge is set, we refine and polish the edge for smooth cutting performance. This step enhances sharpness, improves durability, and ensures a clean slicing experience.

4. Quality Inspection

Every blade is carefully checked for consistency, balance, and cutting performance before being returned. If it doesn’t meet our standard, it doesn’t leave our bench.

5. Clean, Safe Return

Blades are cleaned, protected, and safely packaged for pickup or delivery.
