1. Services Provided

DH Sharpening provides professional sharpening services for knives, scissors, blades, and related tools. All services are performed using techniques deemed appropriate based on the condition, material, and intended use of each item.

2. Final Sale of Services

Due to the irreversible nature of sharpening services, all services are final sale. Once an item has been sharpened, the service cannot be undone. As such, no refunds, returns, credits, or exchanges will be provided for completed services.

3. Condition of Items

Customers acknowledge that sharpening permanently alters the condition of tools. Results may vary depending on factors including, but not limited to:

Blade material and steel type

Prior sharpening history

Existing wear, damage, chips, or defects

Manufacturer specifications

DH Sharpening is not responsible for pre-existing conditions that affect performance or appearance after sharpening.

4. Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

Ensure items submitted for service are appropriate for sharpening

Review service descriptions and pricing prior to confirming an appointment

Disclose any known defects or concerns before service begins

By submitting items for sharpening, the customer authorizes DH Sharpening to perform the requested service.

5. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

Customers acknowledge that knives, scissors, and blades are inherently sharp and potentially dangerous tools. By engaging the services of DH Sharpening, the customer assumes all risks associated with the handling, use, transport, and storage of sharpened items.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer releases and waives any claims against DH Sharpening, its owners, operators, and affiliates for injuries, damages, or losses arising from or related to the use or misuse of sharpened items following service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DH Sharpening shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of sharpened items or from the performance of services.

7. Service Review

If a customer believes a service was not performed in accordance with professional standards, they must notify DH Sharpening within a reasonable time following service completion. While refunds are not provided, DH Sharpening reserves the sole discretion to review the service performed.

8. Pricing & Payment

All pricing is listed in advance and subject to change without notice. Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Where DH Sharpening offers or facilitates pickup and/or drop-off of items, the customer acknowledges and agrees that such services are provided as a convenience only.

While reasonable care is taken during transport and handling, DH Sharpening shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to items that occurs during pickup, transport, storage, or return, except where required by applicable law.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that items are:

Properly packaged and secured for transport

Clearly identified as belonging to the customer

Free from undisclosed defects that may compromise safe handling

By electing pickup and/or drop-off services, the customer assumes all associated risks and releases DH Sharpening from liability arising from such risks to the fullest extent permitted by law.
